Some information I have is Elizabeth Yoes daughter of Jacob Yoes was born January 20, 1818 in Missouri, and died February 21, 1891 at the home of her daughter in Siskiyou Co., CA. She married Joseph Hiram Skeen abt 1836, son of Jacob Skeen and Nancy ? Jacob was born 1817 in Missouri and died abt 1859 "top" Scotts Mountain, Trinity County, enroute on the Oregon Trail. (more details if you don't have it)
Joseph Hiram Skeen (Skane)and family was in Washington Co., AR 1850 Census.
John Skeen a brother to Joseph H. married Mary Yoes a sister to Elizabeth. More information here too if you don't have it.
Skeens are not my direct line so I have not researched them. This is information I have found looking for Yoes. I am a decendent of John Enos Yoes a brother to Elizabeth and Mary. Hope this is of some help Bobbi
