Hi James! Yes, I have been in contact with Nivard and I'm almost positive we have a connection in our Yoell roots--which I think will be proven with more research. Yes, I would LOVE to see what you have gleaned from the Portsmouth Index--and yes, you are indeed right that it's Portsmouth, Hampshire *D'OH*...shows you what I know about English counties.
And there is a family rumor tradition that our Yoell spellling is definitely a recent event, so I'm keen to see if all the various spellings in England have some common root. As usual as it is,
