I am interested in learning more about the ancestors of my great-great-grandmother, Henrietta Yocom, who was born in Montgomery Co. KY January 10, 1829 and who married my great-great-grandfather, James Harvey Stewart, in 1848 in Cloverland, Posey Township, IN when he was 21 years old and she was just 19. Sadly, Henrietta died just five years later in 1853. Three children were born to them, but two passed away, and their only surviving child was William D. Stewart, born in Williamstown, Clay County, IN on September 5, 1851.
I believe her parents may have been John William Yocom, born in 1775 in VA, and Sarah Stewart, born 1778, but have not yet conformed this.
Any information on this line of Yocoms (Yocums) would be much appreciated.
