This Andrew Yetter is one of a large family, the oldest being Lazarus who upon the death of his father, Jacob Yetter in 1870, was appointed administrator of the estate,
The family was in the 1850 census forDecatur Twp. Mifflin Co.PA and in 1860 in Lack Twp. Juniata Co. In 188o, Jacob's wife Mary was living with unmarried sons Andrew and John Oliver and daughter Elizabeth.
Who were the parents of Jacob? And who was his wife? I have seen three different women assigned that role in various Yetter family descendancy charts. Also there seems to be some confusion as to the siblings of Jacob. I think that one of his sisters was Mary Magadela who married John Knepp and lived in Juniata County.
I have spent some time with the McCurdy file but I still can't sort out the people. There wwere two Jacob Yetters living in Lack Twp. at the same time and not all that different in age....which only adds to the confusion!
Any help would be appreciated. I am a volunteer researcher for the Juniata Historical Society.
