Hi Llewellyn ;

Thanks for posting a reply to My Message.

I'd appreciate any information You would care to share with Me. The YETTER/YEATER/YEATTER Family is a bit confusing , with all the spelling variations used by the Families.

My 3rd Gr GrandFather was Joseph YEATER , born 20 MAY 1838 in Alfarata , Decatur Township , Mifflin County , PA .died 9 FEB 1885 in Mifflin County , PA .Joseph married Sarah Wales SAGER .

Joseph's Father (My 4th Gr Grandfather) was John YEATER , born abt. 1798 in PA . He was married to Rachel "Unknown"..

I haven't been able to trace John to the other YETTER line yet. I have alot of info on the other YETTER line waiting to find the connection.

At the Mifflin County Historic Society there's a large file (Pedigree Charts)from F. Kenneth McCurdy. This file was done in the mid 1980's. Both Families (My Joseph & Ludwig YETTER's) lines are in the file. So I feel there's a connection somewhere.

I had heard locally the the YEATER & YETTER Family is the same. IT is said that 1 branch spelled it's last name differenty so the Public wouldn't think they were related. I guess the one branch was in trouble a good bit.

Thanks Again
Robert Wileman
