Hi. I have an aunt Olive Mavis Meade Smith
who lives in Dartmouth, Novia Scotia. She
was a Yetter before marriage. Her father was
Melmouth Albert Yetter who was born Jul.10,
1883 and died 1957. His second marriage was
to Constance Clair Reid.
I got a letter from a Fred Yetter and if you
send me your email address, I'll forward the
letter to you and you will find it very
interesting. Our name Yetter was not the
original name. It was Gurtin and it is
German, so you see we are of German descent.
One of my relations was married under the
Gurtin name as per marriage certificate and
later buried under the Yetter name. I have
no idea why. My uncle James Arthur Yetter
was a long time resident of Coaticook, Quebec.
I have more info if you want it. Shirley.
