Thanks for teling me about the different spellings used by "Yerby". My grgrgrandfather, Joseph Yerby Willis, was given the name, Yerby...we wondered where this middle name came from.His mother was Sicily Coats.so it could be from her family.Some genealogists say a William Coats married Margaret Irby. I found later, a Yerby man was guardian for two Willis chldren...I lost this information,howvever, I think it was in Texas, maybe,or Indiana....wish I had more information on thhs name. Thanks for any help...Stella
