Hello Siobhan,
Thank you for your message and the information in it. It's nice to think that myself, a descendant of members of my family who knew Mary and her father William Houghton and who lived with them, and yourself, descended from Mary and William, are communicating about them. And remembering them after so many years have passed. Spooky!
A kinsman has told me that Ann Bennett (William's first wife and Mary's mother) was b.c. 1789 at Offenham and d. aged 39 and was buried 08 June 1828 at St.Mary & St.Milburgh, Offenham. Ann's parents were William Bennett and Mary.
I have a detailed pedigree chart (a Microsoft WORD document)of Lucy WOMANS's descendants from her marriage to William Lampit which I can send as an email attachment if you would like it as background information. Please contact me on bobnewAntlworld.com (replace the A with @).
One thing I would dearly like to know is what happened to Harriet WOMANS b.1817 nearly 4 years before Lucy's first marriage?
Bob New
