This James was born in Ohio sorry I could not be of any help.
Let me know if you find a connection.

This James came from a family that fought in the Rev. War.
by the way I went back and looked and my James father was born in New York. His father's name was Alva and his mother's name was Elizabeth Ann Cockerill. Maybe that will help. Alva's fathers name was James and he was born in Westchester county, New York. His mothers name was Sarah Bates. James father's name was Stephen and he was also born in Westchester county, his mothers name was Abigail Fountain. Stephen's fathers names was Eleazer Yeoman and his mothers name was Mary Hunt. Eleazer's fathers name was Solomon Yeoman and his mothers name was Susannah. Hope there is a connection. this takes you back to approx 1680.

Good luck on your journey.

Trudy
