YEOS FROM SWIMBRIDGE.

I was recently in Swimbridge, and found it quite charming. The churchyard is full of Yeo graves, mostly "recent" ones dating from the early 1800's and later.A very kind lady there, whose maiden name is Yeo, showed us around the church, and then told she has the original church records at her home (they were photocopied some years back for the official records and then she ended up with them).A few weeks later, a thick envelope arrived at my home in California, and inside are the hand copied Yeo baptism, marriage, and death records from the Swimbridge church since about 1600!As for Roger Yeo, the Yeo Swimbridge baptism records I have show "Roger son of Roger" born in March, 1672, which seems a little old for yours. There is also a marriage of Roger Yeo to Grace Gould in February, 1669.Incidentally, the Swimbridge church is most famous for one of it's 19th century clergy, Jack Russell, who first bred the terrier.Sorry this is not more help, but good luck.Dennis Yeo
