Susan--If your grandmother was Theresa then she was my father-in-laws aunt,because Frank was his dad. I just got a little info from him for you if it's what your looking for. This is what he knew.
John came from Germany and Mary came from Bohemia(Germany) from Aztalan they moved the family to the Deerfield area. Only Frank,John,Rude and Wenzel(Charles) stayed in the area.
Theresa and Catherine left Wisconsin when they were young looking for bigger and better things(back then that took a lot of courage)they headed to South Dakota then Texas and on to California.
Theresa married a Thompson she had a daughter Marion and she married and had 2 daughters Tina and ? (my in-laws went to California and visited in 1946 they kind of lost track a few years ago. The ? could be you.
Catherine married a Hewitt she had 2 sons Cable and Corbin. Corbin is still alive cause
they still keep in touch with him(he just had a birthday about a month of so ago.
Mary married a Joe Stranske and moved to South Dakota they had 10 kids only know of one from that family Viney married Lloyd Hill
their daughter Gerri married Ron Boyd. Gerri wrote back in '91 at christmas time that Viney passed away.
Margaret(Maggie) married Henry Cook they had 3 children Bertha,Gertrude and Paul(died young).
Emma married Walter Tripke the lived in Milton Wi. ran a tavern and never had kids.
John never married he spent a lot of spare time with Frank's family.
George married a Theresa (Tessie) they moved up north to Elsworth and had 8 kids. He was the only one to keep the German spelling of Yelk--Jilk. Their kids were Joe,Bernard, Louise,Ronny,Clarence,Lynn,Jenny and the last one was Marg or Leona(he couldn't remember for sure).
Frank married Agnes Getzinger they lived by Marshall, Wi. Their kids are Leonard,Robert,Ruth,Harvey,Dorothy,Zeno, Vernon,and Loraine.
Rude married a Clara Yohna(Jahna) they had 9 kids. Harvey(Ralph),Charles,Genevieve, Raymond, Clarence, Lester,Catherine, Lucille,
Charles (Wenzel) marrried Eleanor Frey and had 5 kids-Beatrice, Bernard, Jerry, Marvin and Lloyd.
