I was wondering if anyone could make a connection with my Yelk. Unfortunately I do not have much information and things have been slow going - probably because of the name variations? Anyhow, I have a Rosa Yelk born 3 Sep 1844, immigrated 1850, married to Joseph Müller (Mueller/Miller) around 1866 in Cleveland, Manitowoc, Wisconsin where her family was living at the time (according to obit). Census records indicate her nativity as Baden. They had eight children: Margaret E, Joseph, Katherine A, Mary C, John E, Elizabeth, Frank and Julia K. She had lived in Two Rivers, Manitowoc, Wisconsin for 50 years - where she passed away 25 Apr 1922 and was buried 28 Apr at Calvary Cemetery.
The sacrament record at St. Luke's Catholic Church for the baptism of her first child has her name as Catharina, subsequent records have Rosa, Rosaliae, Rosae, etc. Latin variations.
I would like to know who her parents and siblings were so that I may work back from there.
Any help would be appreciated!
