I am a Yeldell and I live in Jamaica, New York and I too am Black but my great great grand parents are indian on my mothers side. My grandmother name is Emily Yeldell and she was born in edgefield, south carolina. she also had two borthers and there names are Robert E. Lee Yeldell he was the younger one and ther older one was Charles Yeldell. I know from my uncle and there stories that there father had alot of brothers and sisters. I think about 12 of them. Who then had a lot of children. My grand mother moved up here when she was still in school, her parents moved robert first and then my grandmother came along. That was around 1935-1940. I don't really know but I can find out!
