My 4th great grandfather was Jacob Cosper b. 1771 in Edgefield District South Carolina. He moved from SC to Talladega Co., AL before 1850. He died in Talladega Co., AL in 1859 and is buried in St. Clair Co., AL. I have tried for years to find his marriage in SC with no results. It is a common belief that his wife was Phebe Yeldell but I can't prove it. She was born about 1773 in SC and died 1858. She is buried in Coosa Valley Baptist Church Cemetery in St. Clair Co., AL. Do you know if there is a connection with your family. Her father may be John James Yeldell son of Robert and Phebe Yeldell. I would appreciate any help on this family.

Thank you very much,
