Hello Dan,
The Yieldings came from England and Ireland,I have found Yieldings in, Sussex, Hertfordshire, Kent, England as far back as the 1630`s, but can`t find information on how they came over the ocean, there are still many, many, Yieldings in England and Ireland.
My branch of the Yieldings came over sometime before 1750 into North Carolina. There is a Yielding branch that came over from Ireland into Canada, since you Live in Canada, I`m guessing this could be the branch you are looking for, Howard Yielding has a website about this branch of the family, if you are interested I will look it up and send it to you, sorry to say we haven`t been able to connect these two branches yet, but I think this is what you may be loooking for.
Brenda
