So glad to find another cousin looking for these!
Two of us related to James Henry Yeats (b. 1865), s/o JMC and Arrena, are currently working on this family.

We've had no clue who were parents of JMC, so most curious about what you found on Elias Yeats.

I think your Mary Elizabeth Yeats (born about 1857) was daughter of James M.C. Yeats and his first wife Harriet Weathersby, whom he married in 1842 in Wilkinson, MS. They were on 1850-60 Bowie census. Harriet was still living in 1861 when she and JMC gave land in Bowie Co. for Red Bayou Methodist Church.

JMC was in Bowie until about 1867, and first shows up in Lamar in 1871.
