Dear Helen,
I have some details for James Yeats and his daughter Harriet Yeats, gleaned mostly from the Winterslow parish register and the 1841 census. James was the brother of my Great Great Great grandfather Henry.
James Yeats (1764-1847) married Phoebe Judd (1772-1846) at Winterslow 26th Dec 1793.
He was born in Winterslow (christened 23 Dec 1764). His parents were a William Yeats (1723-1795) and Mary (nee Cooper; 1723-1795), married at Winterslow 6 Feb 1748. William and Mary had 4 sons (possibly 5): Edward, William, Henry and James (and possibly Thomas) who lived in Winterslow and survived to relatively old age. There were also 3 daughters, although I only have evidence that one survived to adulthood(Mary b 1771. This is as far back as I've been able to go as I can't find any entry for the birth of William Yeats (1723-1795).
Harriet married one William Chitty in Shoreditch, London on 10 Mar 1835. I believe they had 3 son and 3 daughters born 1839-1847. This is as far as I've gone, but if there are any further specific details you're after let me know and I'll try and help as much as I can.
Regards,
Clive
