According to Joseph Anderson's article from the YCGSJ, No. 8, Year: 1993, "The Yeatons of York County Maine", pages 46-48, the parents of the Dorcas Yeaton who married William Shorey are Philip Yeaton and Dorcas Smith. Anderson includes the following information regarding the parents: PHILIP YEATON, grandson of Richard, the original settler, and son of Philip, who was born no later than 1693, and died, probably at Somersworth, N. H. 11 April 1771, was born "circa 1725 and was baptized at Dover, NH with siblings 7 April 1728. He died at Berwick 29 March 1817 aged 92 years. Dorcas Yeaton's mother was Dorcas Smith, born at Berwick 15 July 1732, a daughter of John and Elizabeth (Heard) Smith."
Tawny, I hope this is helpful. The father of Dorcas (Yeaton) Shorey is in my direct lineage so I have gathered quite a bit of information about this group of Yeatons.
