So have you located all the death records of all the children of John and Mary (Chamberlain) Yeaton? What do each say for a birthplace for him? That's where I would start. You need to find an available John born ca. 1807. Notice the names he uses for his children. These are the clues for finding his parents. I would also look at Kennebec County Deeds to see when he first buys land and if that says whence he came.
