Joanna (Pray) (Roberts) Yeaton was the only wife of Philip-2 Yeaton. This is proven by deed: Proof that she is the mother of all of Philip Yeaton’s children and the widow of Moses Roberts is in the deed dated 13 May 1726 (NHPD 22:455) which reads “in consideration of ye natural love and good will I have towards Joanna Roberts widow of Moses Roberts and her heirs and divers other good causes me thereunto moving have and do freely give and bequeath to her ye said Joanna Roberts and to her and my heirs begotten of her body lawfully . . .”witnesses were her brothers John and Joseph Pray.If you read the entire deed you see that he gives her everything as a show of good faith of support for the children she has born him.Note that her brothers witness the deed. One could call this a "musket marriage arrangement" of the 1720s.
Joanna was daughter of Joseph and Mary (Grant) Pray of Berwick. His will in Maine Wills 592-4, calls her Joanna Yeaton.Joseph claims to be 60 in Apr 1733 in a deposition, so born circa 1673.His wife, Mary (Grant) Pray claims to be 80 in Apr 1756 in a deposition so born circa 1676.If she were about twenty when she got married it was about 1696 and a first child would be born circa 1697.That was probably Joanna. She must marry, be widowed and have children by Philip Yeaton by 1726.She has children by Philip until 1738 or so when she would be 40-ish.
Philip was born circa 1688-1693 since he buys land with John Drew on 11 Jun 1714 (NHPD 11:238) from Israel Hodgdon and must have been at least 21 then (born before 1693), but he's too young to be taxed with his father and brother in 1708 and therefore less than 21 then (born after 1687).
