Hi Diane.... Save your money on the Jone book it is not worth the price, besides it is now out of print. The William you are talking about is not in it anyway. I do have William in my data base but has not been proven as yet. The info came from the Family Search 1999 online data base. William Yeaton, b. July 1789 in Portsmouth, Rockingham, N.H., died 19 Jan 1856 in Newport, Penobscot, Maine. No parents listed at this time. Married Mary Sawyer, on 27 Oct 1807, at Deer Isle, Hancock, Maine. There is more info that I have on him, but at this moment I do not remember where or from whom I received this. Hopefully I will get to imputting the Yeaton info this winter, so far I have not had the time. I have about a 4 or 5 inch stack of Yeaton material to go through. I am in no way an expert on the Yeaton family, but have been working on my wifes line for over 25 years. My wife is a Yeaton. I would like to make an all name Yeaton data base if I ever get the time.
The other info I mentioned: He resided with George Kimball, who married Lucretia AMAZEEN in New Castle, N.H., before returning to Isle au Haut, Knox, Maine, just before his marriage to Mary Sawyer. They resided at Isle au Haut, Maine until they removed to Newport, Maine about 1842. They had 12 children, 4 boys and 8 girls. I do not know the childrens names at this time.
This will give you some info to look for and check out.
Regards.......Mike
