Hi Ted. I just sent you another email and now see elsewhere in the gen forum that perhaps the Hill and Yeatman connection to my Preston Yeatman Hill. My great great grandfather had some business to do with the building of boats in Nashville...HIs partner was Norville or Norwell and Hill (their company name) ....in early l820s-30s...so perhaps somewhere along the line, my Robert Hill named one of his sons after somebody he knew as steamboat captain...as he named his son Preston Yeatman Hill. So, my question is ....Are you are aware of any "Hill", specifically a Robert Hill in Nashville related to your Yeatmans...I am seeking info on the birth/origins of that Robert Hill who named his son Preston Yeatman Hill. Thanks much...
Dolores Hill-Meermans
