Darrell,
That is a good question, I have been working on this family for years and cannot get past Henry, Sr. or Benedict. Several census records show that the children of Henry show that their father was born in Scotland, PA and MD so no one really knows for sure where they came from. Recently I did find a probate record for a John Yeary in Linconshire England in 1633 I received a copy of the probate, but it is such bad shape I can't be sure that it truly is for a John Yeary. If you look though the Ellis Island records there was a Yeary who came to the US from Ireland and another one from England. In the census records for the United Kingdom there are Yeary's in Ireland but there are so many variations of the spelling of the name and varying opinions of where the family came from. I feel they were probably originally from Germany and migrated to the UK and from there to the US. My grandpa use to tease me when I was little and told me I was "black dutch" this refers to the melungeons or germans and if you will do a google search there are several various descriptions of the black dutch. You did not clarify who past Henry, Jr. you decend from. Mine is Henry, Jr., Adam, James Whitten, Henry Carl, William Ewing, Robert, to me Virginia. Wish I could help more, but all is speculation.
"Happy Holidays"
Virginia
