NC Yearwood/Earwood Records
Yearwood researchers I am trying to work my way thru many Lincoln & Rutherford County Court Records.I have not seen anything of tremendous value to date but am posting in hopes that some will find somehthing of merit.
Forgive the obvious carbon copying marks, I had to type elsewhere and then copy as every time I try to type this much in the forum I end up getting disconnected.
Lincoln County Court Records: (keep in mind all money is English, pounds,
pence, etc. & I am not really good at working with it just recording)
John Work vs William Adams (attachment)...goods, etc of William Adams, sum
of L5.4.0 which John Work recovered against him for damage & L7.8.7 in said
suit, have monies at court on first Monday, Joseph Dickson, Clerk at office
11 April 1783. Fi Fa to July Court 1783. Attyl Osborn, Sheriff Jo. Henry.
No goods found the defendant lives in Burke County. 2nd Attachment sent to
Sheriff of Burke County dated 11 April 1783: Same debt of L6.4.0
Witnesses are EARWOOD (no first name given), Samuel Thompson & William Kerr; totatl
service is L11.11.1 Living near little Wardes (unfinished branch?)Levied
on land near Little Wards, execution levied on one horse. Fees paid.Saml.
Greenlee attorney paid as per receipt.Genl. McDowell security for the
Devt.
