Greetings Fellow Yearsley's,

Ian, we corresponded a few months ago, and since I was concentrating on the America's at the time, I did not see a connection. I have read all of your emails with great interest, and I am trying to find the connection with my ancestor, John Yearsley who was born in Middlewich, and came to America in 1700.

I have found a Sir Richard Yearsley of York, and some of his descendents that go to about the middle of the 1600's, my John was born abt. 1654. I have tried to enclose the report below, but it will not copy to this message. If you would like a copy, please email me at my address.

I am planning a trip to Enlgand in September of this year, and would like your advice on where to begin my research! The town of Yearsley is also in my plans, and I have been told that no Yearsley ever lived there. I find this rather hard to believe, as why would they name a place without having some referrence to Yearsley's? The name does mean Wild Boar.

I do have a hand-drawn crest of YEARSLEY OF YORK, and some data I would be happy to share if you are interested. Any help you can give me would be most appreciated.
