Family tree misconception, via book

My direct line of Yearout's is all messed up due to misinformation sent into Glenn Alvin Yearout by a Leon Yearout. The children of William and Myra McCully Yearout are listed as:
Lemuel born 1865, m. Margaret Norris
Calvin born 1868 m. mary Pendergrass
William Marsh b. 1876, m. Minnie Lane
Mary Alice born 1880 , m. John Willocks
Harriett b. 1884, m, Charles Ratledge
Lillie b. 1887 m, Arthur Romines
Robert F. b. 1890, m, Ethel bolden

These are my direct family line. I have death records on most of them, burial records, marriage records, obits, etc. All except Lemuel and M. Alice were born as Stinnett's. I can definitly prove parentage of all except Lemuel as children of Edney Yearout who was born 1848, Blount county, Tn daughter of William and Harriett Yearout Stinnett. Lem is difficult to prove, but think I may have proof. He is listed in our family bibles as brother of the listed above. I would love to get this mess repaired as we feel it shows definite disrespect to our great grandmother, Edna. Please feel free to write me direct,
