Had to laugh at your message - I guess when I stop doing family research - my family will know it is time to put this old body in a box!!!! Yes, even after 3 years...I try to do a little genealogy every day.
I am not (to my knowledge) a descendant of Sir John Yeamans...I am a descendant of Margaret Foster Berringer and Col. Benjamin Berringer of Barbados. Margaret married Sir John Yeamans after the death (under unusual circumstances they say) of Col. Berringer aound 1660 or so/can't recall the exact date.
Would love to know how you connect to Sir John...he was an interesting fellow. I am in First Families of SC - have you considered joining the group? You have to have proof that you descend from someone in SC who was in the state by 1700.
I have proven 9 lines and keep thinking I want to finish the others but things keep getting in the way...like a little touch of laziness!
