Fran,

Nice to hear from you! My line works like this:

Margaret Berringer + James Moore Through 3 of their sons. These are the boys that went to the Cape Fear Area of North Carolina and started causing all that trouble up there. (hehehe)

Roger Moore + Mary Rayner (I can find no record of this woman anywhere) Through their son George + Mary Ashe. Through their Daughter Mary + Thomas Davis. Through their daughter Sophia + Thomas Jones Ashe.

Col. Maurice Moore + Elizabeth Lillington. Through their daughter Margaret + Thomas Jones. Through their daughter Elizabeth + Gov Samuel Ashe. Through their son Thomas Jones Ashe + Sophia Davis. Through their son Thomas Swann Ashe + Elizabeth S Bell. Through their daughter Sophia Frances Ashe.

Last but not least Nathaniel Moore + Elizabeth Webb. through their daughter Margaret + William Hill. Through their son Col. Thomas Hill + Susannah Mabson. Through their daughter Margaret Moore Hill + Levin Lane. Through their son Thomas Hill Lane + Sophia Frances Ashe. Through their daughter Susan Hall Lane + Richard Bradley Jewett. Through their daughter Sallie Blount Jewett + Arthur Irving Jeffords. Through their daughter Lila Ashe Jeffords + Henry F Hunt. Through their daughter Lila Jewett Hunt + Ellis Joseph White (My grand parents)

I know Maurices and Nathaniel's best as that is what I am currently working on. Then there is all of that intermarriage and that tends to get me very confused. Even more so than I already am. I tried to figure it out once and thought that I had it. Well, I seem to have lost it. I think that we could probably blame that on Elizabeth Lillington as Maruice was her 3rd husband and Samuel Swann was her 2nd husband. It was her great grand child and her 2nd great grand child that started this whole mess.

Feel free to e-mail me privately. I'll share with you what I have.

I got hold of several outlines done by Charlie Gault and have been working on getting proofs and information ever since.

Yesterday I was at the Family History Center and got information that started putting some of this together.

Oh I forgot to answer your question, Yes I would be interested in joining the First Families of South Carolina.

Mary (in Nebraska, the panhandle part)
