Thank you, Fran! I know about that intrigue.:-) There are stories online, plus pix of the estate which belonged to Berringer, then Yeamans, after the former's "demise." You can see teh Abbey and read all about it here: http://barbados.org/nicabbey.htm

I've not heard of the "Limp" woman, buut I suppose ti stands to reason he may have been married before, too.

I've just contacted my county library and through inter-library loan, another library is sending me copies of the pertinent pages. Thanks a bunch! I'll keep you posted.
