I really don't want to take sides in the JUCHLI-YEAGLEY debate, because I don't have a stake in the outcome; I'm not descended from either line. However, the book COUNTING KINDRED asserts that my ancestor Peter BRÜCKER's first wife was a Christina DEPPEN, sister of Christian DEPPEN, and I can definitively show that that was not the case: the Protestant parishbook of Rothau in Alsace indicates in about five separate baptismal records that her maiden name was JULCHY. (no, that's not a typo) Someone else has alleged that the book may be inaccurate on another point, see: http://kinnexions.com/smlawson/deppen.htm In any event, if I were to judge the book based on only my own experience, I would say it shows itself to be less than fully credible. That said, I cannot judge whether it correctly indicates who the descendents of Benedict might have been in America. Notify Administrator about this message?
