Circa 1880s photo of Laura Sunday Yeager
I purchased the subject undated studio portrait of a young woman taken by The Rembrandt Gallery, Hamburg, PA.It is identified on the back of the mount:
"Laura Sunday Yeager"
The only likely match I can find is a Laura S. Yeager listed in the 1880 Census data for Philadelphia (resided at 3627 north side of Ludia? Street), Philadelphia, PA; the 1900 Census data for Philadelphia (resided at 3624 Market Street), Philadelphia Co., PA; the 1910 Census data for Philadelphia, Philadelphia, PA; and the 1920 Census data for Philadelphia (resided at 505 44th Street), Philadelphia, PA.Born Oct 1854 in PA, she was the daughter of Elmira Pears, born Jan 1818 in PA.In about 1874, she married a plumber, James Yeager, born Jan 1847 in PA.The couple had one child, Herbert, born about 1876 in PA.By the time of the 1910 enumeration, Laura was widowed.
