Matilda May (Davidson) Yeager's obituary in the Free Press Standard, Carrollton, Ohio, Feb. 5, 1953.
Mrs. Matilda May Yeager, 78, of Marion, died Sunday at the home of her son H. C. Yeager of Spartanburg, South Carolina. She had been in bad health for the past ten years.
She was born May 1, 1874, at East Springfield, daughter of the late Cicero and Mary (O'Connell) Davidson. She was married to Rev. Alvin E. Yeager who died in 1940.
She was a member of the Methodist Church in Marion. Her husband served as minister in Northeast Ohio and Pittsburgh Conferences of the Methodist Churches.
Survivors include; five sons, Paul Yeager of Columbia Station, Ohio; Dr. Floyd Yeager of Marion; Wilbur Yeager of Pittsburgh, H. C. Yeager of Spartanburg, South Carolina; Olin Yeager of Chapel Hill, North Carolina; one daughter, Mrs. Donald R. Brown of East Cleveland; two sisters, Mrs. C. C. Graham of Amsterdam and Mrs. Rose Hales of Carrollton; a brother, E. E. Davidson of East Springfield.
Funeral services were conducted from the Allmon Funeral Home with Rev. Yates and Rev. R. A. Marty officiating. Burial was in Harlem Springs Cemetery.
