obit: William Henry Yeager b. 12/31/1849 d.11/23/1914-Ohio
William Henry Yeager, son of Jacob and Mary Yeager, was born December 31, 1849, and died November 23, 1914, aged 64 years, 10 months and 22 days, being the youngest of six children.He was married December 19, 1872, to Salina Ann McConnell.To this union were born four children;George E.,Howard E.,Homer L., and Mrs. John Robbins.The widow and children,four grandchildren and one sister survive him.He united with the M. E. Church of Harlem Springs when a young man and remained a consistent member until death.
One Monday, November 16, after eating a hearty dinner, he went about his work and in about an hour he was stricken with paralysis.His friends were hopeful of his recovery until Friday, when he had a second stroke, after which he was unconscious until death.He was a farmer in Lee Township all his life.He was a good neighbor and a good Christian and will be missed by all.

Henry Yeager, of Lee Township, died Monday of Paralysis.Funeral Wednesday at 10 a.m.He is survived by a daughter,Mrs. Robins, and three sons,Ed,Homer and Howard.
Mr. Yeager was a life-long resident of Carroll County, a tiller of the soil,a citizen and a good democrat.He was born in 1849.
William's parents, Jacob and Mary (Seiger,Sieger) were from Pa. In earlier census Jacob spelled his last name Yager. In fact I believe his sons changed the spelling. Found others as Yeager Yager Yarger Yaeger. William of obit, was brother to my great-great-grandfather Jacob Jr. Looking for info on Yager from Pa. to Ohio, Carroll Co. Jefferson, Harrison.
