Elizabeth Drysdale Yeadon who married James McIntosh Drysdale was a sister to William Drysdale Yeadon (1827-1909) my late grandfather's great-grandfather.

Elizabeth and William were the children of William Yeadon (whose dates I have listed as 1797-1851) and Elizabeth (nee Drysdale) Yeadon (1790-1873.)

William's father John came from the Leeds/Yeadon/Rawdon area of Yorkshire England to Rawdon Nova Scotia then returned to England to marry Elizabeth MacIntosh. His bride accompanied him on the return trip to Nova Scotia. More detail is available in the John Yeadon 1811 Petition message posted elsewhere in this section by Iris Shea.

Descendents of Elizabeth Drysdale (nee Yeadon) and James McIntosh Drysdale are still to be found in the Halifax Nova Scotia area.
