Sorry not to have replied to your message before now. Have had family health problems and not much time for the computer!
I think your grandfather may be the person who was friendly with my family during the late twenties, early thirties but now that generation has passed on it is difficult to verify the information.
Our family name was Howard, living in Dunmurry,(which may not mean anything to you) but I'm afraid I may not be able to help you further.
