Thanks for the response. First off, I am actually a Yazbeck, not a Yazbek. My father dropped the "c" when he came to Nova Scotia in the 60's.. (for what reason, I am not sure).
My grandfather (Kour, Lebanon) had 3 brothers, one of which left for South America at a young age. According to my father, he was never in contact with his family again. We thought Amy Yasbeck could be *perhaps* a relation of his.
Second, just curious as to whether you (or anyone reading this) may have some knowledge with respect to the origin of our last name.
I have had some ask me if I am Czech or Turkish because of the spelling of my name.
