Hi, I found Ann Eveline Yax in my Yax genealogy. She was married to Orrin Blood, and they had six children as follows: Robert, Hiram, Violet, Mary, Ivy and George.
Her parents were Francis Benjamin Yax and Lydia Agnes Cobb. I would assume that if Orrin Blood was full blooded Indian, that would make your great grandmother, Violet, 1/2 Indian.
Ann's ancestry goes back to Michel Yax who came over here from Germany in the 1700's.
If you want the full ancestry back to Michel, I can not email it to you, but if you contact Helen Standefer at hstande@hotmail.com, she would be happy to do so. Look up her web page under 'My Yax Genealogy'
Good luck. Alice (Yax) Matusiak aliceyax@tampabay.rr.com
