Under normal circumstances, I don't give too much thought to the family tree, but yesterday my dad Harry (Buddy) Small forwarded me a picture that your mom had sent to him.Your mother and my father are first cousins. Your grandmother Pearl Mintz and my grandmother Sadie Small were sisters. I probably haven't seen your mother since either my or my brother Scott's Bar Mitzvah.. Mine was in May of 1958. A very long time. My children (I have 3) and grandchildren (I've got 2 of them so far) have no real sense of my family other than my father's younger brother Eddy who lives in the New York area. My wife Judy and I live in Manhattan as do 2 of my 3 children. My daughter and her family live in Charlotte,NC. If you have any insights into the Yavner family that you would like to share, please feel free to do so. I'd love to flesh out more of our family background for my children and grandchildren.
