I'm sorry, I don't know what Max's Hebrew name was. So far we know three siblings of David: Simon, Bessie and Fruma, all of whom settled in the Boston area. One of Fruma's descendents says there were several more brothers and sisters but we don't know their names or if they came to America.

We also know that there was a connection to the Julius Yavner family of Virginia. Julius and David were probably not brothers since their grave markers have different Hebrew patronymics. However, grandchildren of both David and Julius remember "cousins" visiting between Boston and VA.

So far we do not know of a connection to the New York Yavners, but since it is such an uncommon name I would not be surprised.
