My great grandmother was Fruma Yavner (1876-1940) She emigrated from Grinkiskis Lithuania in 1921. She and five of her six children settled in the Boston area. (She was the widow of Eliezer Kaplan. Fruma's six children are as follows: Morris Kaplan (b. 1885), Joel Kaplan (b.1888) Pessa Hinde (b.1890 Pessa and her family perished in the Holocaust.) Fannie Kaplan (b.1899) Mary Kaplan (b. 1901) & Arthur (b.1903) Fruma Yavner Kaplan is the younger sister to David Yavner of Boston (1865-1946). In fact, her dowry was given to her older brother, David so he could emigrate to America. Fruma's had daugher Fannie would visit her Uncle David and cousins in Boston. My mother Betty believes that David and Fruma were two of 11 Yavner siblings. Notify Administrator about this message?
