Looking for information on Elisha Yates, dod - Feb 1845. Elisa died in the Carroll Co., TN jail, awaiting trial for the murder of James Harvey Cleghorn. I am somewhat familiar with his descendents, but would like to know where he was prior to 1844, when the crime was committed in Benton Co., TN.
