Martin Taylor Yates lived in Crawford township, Buchanan County, Missouri for the 1870, 1880 census and his wife Serena was still there in 1900.

1850 census Clinton, Putnam, IN, (Indexed as Teates)
William W Yeats, 28, KY, farmer
Saneigh, 21, KY

George A, 11 mo, IN

Familysearch.org has a couple of records for a Wm W Yates, b. July 19, 1821, Montgomery County, KY, son of George Yates, and Susan Woodruff, married Miss Tainey in 1842, Montgomery County. If you take the last part of Saneigh and Tainey, they sound the same, and in old script, poor handwriting, the S could be taken for a T. I found Saneigh on both 1850 and 1860 census, clearly written in 1850. They give Wm W's death as Oct 30. 1865.
