I am looking for more information on P. H. Yates (Phineas Yates). He was b. 1826 in Massachusetts and d. 1912 in Washington Co. Ohio. He married Melissa Hall in Ohio. Children: Eva Yates Brown, and Alfred Yates (both b. Ohio)
Phineas was an artist, and his daughter Eva was a photographer.
I am trying to find the parents and/or siblings of Phineas, and also the name of his daughter's husband - Eva Yates md a Brown.
I have an old picture album (with pictures!) that belonged to my grandfather (Laurel C Steele). The pictures in it are of his family. The only pictures in the album that had a name on them was one of Phineas H Yates and another one with Arthur Newton.
The main surnames in my Grandfather's family are Abbott, Foster, Hurlbut, Sheeler, Snyder, Steele, and Wilsey. I would sure like to be able to connect Phineas Yates to my tree.
