If Matilda was born in 1859, that would make her 14/15 years old in 1874. I'd like to think she was alittle bit older when getting married. I'm not finding a marriage other than the 1876 marriage. The 1900 census taken in June says they've been married 23 years. I think the birthdate for John M Yates in the 1900 census is incorrect, otherwise he would have been in the 1880 census.
