Dear Mary,

I have YEATS/YEATES/YATES ancestors from Mercer County, Pennsylvania and was intrigued that you mentioned that location in your post. My relatives lived in Stoneboro, Mercer County and originally were miners from Camborne, Cornwall, England who came to the United States in the 1860's. When I looked in the 1880 census that you mentioned and saw that William and Mary were also born in England and miners in Colorado, I thought I'd respond.

What more do you know about William (1823-1886)? Do you know his parents' names or his wife's maiden name? Where had they lived in Mercer County?
