I am trying to find if and why my ancestors changed their name from Garrell, to Yarrow .My great great great, Granparents,Came to Australia in aprox,1853 And settled in Redbank Plains, Queensland. Their names where, Charles Yarrow, [Born 9 June 1828 Tadlow Cambridgeshire England], Married Jane Titmus [26 Feb 1849 Tadlow Cambridgeshire England],Jane Titmus was born on [4 Apr 1833 Crydon, Cambridgeshire, England] Charles Yarrows Father was John Yarrow born [9 June1799] and mother was Elizabeth Holmes Born [31 Oct 1784] I found them in a family tree with John Yarrows father being Thomas Garrell born [1769] and mother being Ann Wood born [1764] It would explain why I havn't been able to trace them back past john Yarrow and Elizabeth Holmes. John and Elizaeth had 11 children, Charles and Jane had 11 children ,my great great grand father was Richard Yarrow son of Charles and Jane, Richard Yarrow married Francis Curry, and their daughter Annie Yarrow married Francis Brennan, Annie and Francis where my great grand parents.
