The ship's original manifest for my Great Uncle Sidney John Snashall (down as Sydney Smashall) in the Ellis Island records (1907) says that he was coming to join his brother- in-law, James Yarrow, at 331, York street, Hamilton, Ontario. Sidney's wife was formally Alice Elizabeth Bates, both from London. I assume James' wife's maiden name was Bates as Sidney only had one surviving sister who did not marry.
Does this ring any bells with anyone?
