I was cleaning out my great grandmas old homeplace recently and found an old photo of Clara Yarrington. I have determined that she is not one of my relatives, but rather was probably a friend of my great grandma. Clara wrote her name on the back and her birthdate on the front: b.Feb18,1876. She appears as a beautiful girl about age 20. The photo was taken <1896> ?
The photo is stamped on the back listing the photo studio:
H. C. Yarrington, photo artist
312 Main st.
Carbondale, Pa
I searched Clara's name in the Pa census and found the family in Carbondale, Lackawanna county, Pa. 1880:
Henry C. Yarrington-b<1837> occupation-photographer
Lucy L. wife b<1842>
Herbert son b<1866>
Clara dau. b<1876>
Clara's father obviously took the picture of her in his photo studio!! If you are a descendant of this Yarrington family and would like to have the photo contact me as I have no interest in it.
