Have you sent for the pension file on
Andrew Jackson Yarnes or any other Yarnes.
I only have the pension files on my branch of
the family.
I am a Pennsylvania Yarnes/Yarns.
My great-grandfather changed the name for
some reason before the civil war. His brother who
also fought in the civil war did not!
My great-grand father was William Penn Yarns and his
brother was James William Yarnes......
I was born Christine Yarns. I am from the Duer Yarnes
side of the New York to Pa. tree.
Please tell me about the GAR badges. I am a member
of a GAR group and Daughter of Civil War Vets.
If the GAR group is still active, they might have
information for you but I bet they would be
thrilled to receive and display the GAR
badges in honor of the loved one.
You have wonderful information ......just super!
Thank you for sharing......
