I would love to talk to you, I have no photos of Andrew, I would love to see some. My grandmother divorced Hurley when my dad was 3 (he was an acholic and other things), but here is where it get's interesting.. As we have never had any touch with his side of the family due to the nature of the divorce and the violence involved. My dad never knew his father, how ever we did find letters from him (hurley to my grandmother and pictures of him and his family - but I have no idea who anyone is). My grandmother remembers Grandpa Yarnes Civil War uniform hanging in the closet along with his gun. (Well if he died?) IT GET'S Better, Grandma Yarnes helped my grandmother pack, infact Grandma Yarnes (this was the name my grandmother used for Julia?) she in fact helped my grandmother pack and gave her, her steamer trunk to have, my grandmother also took the buttons off of grandpa Yarnes Civil War uniform and the badges with it, she wanted her son to remember him, plus she said that the gun was now gone at that time, and no one seemed to care about the uniform. Now I have looked at the buttons and badges got them out again the other night - are ya ready -- THEY ARE GAR BADGES!! Maybe someone may not of died! There are several ribbon badges - including the post number and such. I have been trying to get a membership list from the GAR post in Spirit Lake, in fact we are thinking of coming over sometime in the next week or so to see what I can dig up at the Historical Society. As I live in iowa. Notify Administrator about this message?
